Terms of service

Last updated

These terms are the agreement between you and Caudex Studio, based in Bangladesh (“we” or “us”), for using Caudex Studio at caudexstudio.space. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

What Caudex Studio is

Caudex Studio is a browser workspace for Kaggle notebooks and scripts. You write code in the browser and press Run; we push it to Kaggle, where it runs on your own Kaggle account and its free weekly GPU hours. We stream the run’s log to you as it is written and let you download its outputs from Kaggle.

Caudex Studio is an independent tool built on Kaggle’s public API. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Kaggle.

Your account

  • You sign in with a Google or GitHub account. Keep that account secure: whoever can sign in to it can use your account here.
  • An account is for one person. Don’t share it, sell it or let someone else use it.
  • You must be old enough to make a binding agreement where you live, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission to use the service and to pay for it.
  • You are responsible for what is done through your account, including the code it runs on Kaggle.

Your Kaggle account

To run anything, you connect your own Kaggle account with a Kaggle API key. We store the key encrypted and use it only to act for you on Kaggle: to push your code as a notebook version, follow its status, log and outputs, search for and attach datasets, and upload the datasets you choose.

  • Your code runs on Kaggle, in your account and on your quota. Kaggle’s own terms, rules and limits still apply to everything you run or upload through Caudex Studio, and you agree to follow them.
  • Kaggle is free. Your plan with us pays for Caudex Studio, not for Kaggle compute, and does not add to your Kaggle GPU or TPU hours.
  • We don’t control Kaggle. If Kaggle is down, changes its API, limits your account or stops a run, runs here can fail until that is resolved.
  • You can revoke the key on kaggle.com at any time, and it stops working here straight away.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Caudex Studio to:

  • break the law or Kaggle’s rules, for example by mining cryptocurrency on Kaggle’s hardware or trying to get around its quotas;
  • run or upload anything you don’t have the right to use, or anything meant to cause harm, such as malware;
  • reach another person’s account, projects or data, or probe, overload or attack the service;
  • resell access, or create extra accounts to get more free trials or to get around the paywall.

If an account does these things, we can block it, as described under “Ending an account” below.

Your work

The code, notebooks and data you create or upload stay yours. You let us store them, show them to you and send them to Kaggle, only as far as we need to run the service for you. Each run also saves your code on Kaggle, as a notebook version in your own account.

We open an account’s projects only to help when you ask us to, to look into abuse, or when the law requires it. Keep your own copy of anything important: Caudex Studio is not a backup service.

The free trial

Every new account gets a free trial of 7 days, starting when it signs up. The trial includes everything the paid plan does, and no card or payment is needed. When it ends, nothing is charged: you decide whether to pay. There is one trial per person.

Paid plans

After the trial, you can pay in either of two ways. The price is always shown before you pay.

By card: US$5 a month

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our card orders. Paddle takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT that applies, sends your receipt, and handles refunds for card orders under our refund policy. Paddle’s own terms for buyers also apply to the purchase.

  • The subscription renews every month, charged to the same card, until you cancel it.
  • You can cancel at any time. You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for, and you are not charged again.

In taka: BDT 650 for 30 days

Payments in Bangladeshi taka go through SSLCommerz, by bKash, Nagad, Rocket or card. Each payment is a one-off that buys 30 days of access. It does not renew and nothing is charged again; when the days run out, you can pay again.

If we change a price, we will tell you before the new price applies to a renewing subscription. Time you have already paid for is not affected.

When your time runs out

When your trial or paid time ends, nothing is deleted. You can still sign in and see your projects, code, runs and outputs, but you can’t start runs, create projects or upload datasets until you pay. Everything already on Kaggle stays in your Kaggle account.

Changes and availability

We work to keep Caudex Studio running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. It depends on services we don’t control, including Kaggle, Google Firebase, Vercel and Neon, and sometimes has to be taken down for maintenance.

We may add, change or remove features. If a change takes away something you are paying for, or we stop offering the service, we will tell you in advance where we can and refund paid time you can no longer use.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and if a change affects paying users we will tell them before it applies. Using the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

Ending an account

You can stop using Caudex Studio at any time. Cancel a card subscription first so it doesn’t renew, then ask us to delete your data if you want it gone; the privacy policy says what is deleted and what is kept.

An administrator can block an account that breaks these terms or Kaggle’s, or that puts the service or other people at risk. A blocked account can’t sign in. Where it is safe and lawful to, we will tell you why. We delete an account’s data when its owner asks.

Liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows:

  • we are not responsible for Kaggle, for what your code or models do, or for decisions made on their results;
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost Kaggle quota;
  • our total liability to you for all claims is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that can’t be given up by agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. If something goes wrong, please contact us first; most problems can be sorted out quickly. A dispute we can’t settle goes to the courts of Bangladesh, unless the consumer law where you live lets you bring it in your local courts.
